Essential People Skills for Managers Course Program

We run the 2-day "Essential People Skills for Managers" course as an in-house course for your team at cities around Australia, Asia and the UK. This is a fast-paced and highly practical learning experience and draws on the extensive business experience of the facilitators and their professional insight into the psychology of people and teams. The program includes case studies, role plays, and practical tips, tools and techniques to help you get even better results as a manager, team leader or supervisor.

The emphasis is on developing people skills and on the practical application of techniques. A large part of the course is structured around a practical "simulation" that follows the life of a management initiative - from dealing with more senior management through to setting and agreeing goals for team members, dealing with dissent and conflict and coaching under-performance

During the management simulation you will be working in a team with up to 7 colleagues, and each team will prepare for and run a series of meetings with the course facilitator who role-plays a number of "senior managers" and "team members". This ensures you will have the opportunity to participate directly in the process of managing upwards and downwards, dealing with challenging people and situations and developing your skills and confidence. You will receive feedback and advice on your current management style and take away powerful tools and proven techniques to help you deal with the real-life hurdles and challenges of being a manager, team leader or supervisor.
